The Carrie B. Burns Grand Court, Order of Cyrene Crusaders was organized with three (3) Courts: Persia #1, Royal Lady Margaret L. Martin, Commandress, Shamrock #2, Royal Lady Susie Rembert, Commandress and Godfrey #3, Royal Lady Hattie Harvey, Commandress
The International Grand Royal Commandress Kitty B. Jackson, along with her Initiation Team came to Birmingham from Kansas City, Kansas on September 23, 1967 and did the Initiation of all members present at the Masonic Temple, located at 4th Avenue North Birmingham, Alabama.
The Grand Court was named Carrie B. Burns Grand Court of Cyrenes of Alabama

HIGHLIGHTS
The first Grand Session was held in Dothan, Alabama on 20 - 21 July 1968 at the Masonic Temple.
At the Fourth Annual Grand Session held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on July 24, 1971, the name was changed from Cyrene to Cyrene Crusaders and from Royal Ladies to Princesses.
In 1973, Birmingham, Alabama at the Sixth Annual Grand Session the Youth Council was added to the Order and Princesses Velora Chambliss was elected as the Youth Counselor.
At the 1987 Annual Grand Session a "Fraternal Wedding" between The Charles V. Hendley Grand Commandery of Knights Templar and The Carrie B. Burns Most Royal Grand Order of Cyrene Crusaders was performed by Sir Knight Johnnie E. Jones of Martha's Court #23.
In 1989, "Our-Lady-In-Waiting" name was changed to "Ms. Sweetheart" and "Our Dream Queen" name changed to "Ms. Cyrene Crusader".
